Crews responded to a structure fire at a residence on Angela Lane in Fairview Thursday morning.
The call came in just after 6:30 a.m.
The Fairview Volunteer Fire Department said one person was inside the home at the time of the fire but made it out safely without injuries.
It took a little over two hours to get the fire under control, according to the Fairview VFD. The fire rekindled around noon Thursday. Crews had the fire under control by 2:30 p.m.
The fire started in the laundry room or kitchen, according to the Fairview VFD. The cause is still unknown. The house is a total loss.
The State Fire Marshal will be called in to investigate. Grant Town, Rivesville, Bunner Ridge, Farmington, and Barrackville Volunteer Fire Departments are also responded to the scene.
