The Second Annual Friends of Food dinner will be held Monday evening at the Bridgeport Conference Center.
Five area chefs will prepare unique dishes for the guests to try.
All the dishes will incorporate locally grown and produced ingredients.
Some of those ingredients can be found at the Bridgeport Farmers Market.
All the dishes will also be paired with wine.
Scott Duarte, General Manager of the Bridgeport Conference Center, said the dinner will be a good way for guests to learn about local ingredients.
"It's a plated meal, five courses. Each course is paired with a wine. The chef will get up talk about their dish, talk about their inspiration, the foods and where they came from, and then that helps educate the public about local foods, what's available, and it makes for a good event," said Duarte.
There will be entertainment provided from local musician Rus Reppert.
The evening will also be used as a way to introduce the Bridgeport Conference Center's Cast Iron Cook-Off team.
Proceeds from the dinner will benefit The Collaborative for the 21st Century Appalachia, and its mission to promote local West Virginia foods.
The Friends of Food dinner will start on Monday at 6 p.m.
