Heavy rain flooded a roadway in Marion County Saturday evening causing the road to begin to cave.
It happened on Straights Run Road, just outside of Barrackville.
The West Virginia Division of Highways said the roadway flooded due to poor pipes.
The water cleared the road when the rain stopped, but crews were going to place cones so that if it happened again, they could quickly close the road.
The road was left covered in mud and debris after the water flushed away.
