Four people are in area hospitals after a two-vehicle accident in Taylor County Saturday night.
It happened just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Valley Falls Road and Route 50.
The Taylor County Sheriff's Department said a Jeep, driven by Shawn Randall Sapp of Fairmont, ran a stop sign while turning left onto Route 50. It was then struck by a truck, driven by Larry Gerkin, of Grafton, who was traveling west.
The passenger of the Jeep, identified as Robert Sherman of Fairmont, was ejected into the road. He was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition, according to hospital officials.
Sapp was also taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital by ambulance and his condition is unknown, the sheriff's department said.
Larry Gerkin and the passenger of the truck, Ruth Gerkin, were taken to Grafton City Hospital. Their conditions are also unknown.
The sheriff's department is still investigating the accident and said charges are pending against Sapp.
Authorities are on the scene of a two-vehicle accident in Taylor County.
It happened on Route 50 near Belgium just before 7:00.
The Harrison County 911 Center said the roadway is currently blocked due to a T-bone collision.
At least one person was ejected from a vehicle and at least three people are injured.
HealthNet is on the way to the scene.
The Taylor County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
