Two new businesses – a Hampton Inn and a Chrysler dealership – are welcoming their first customers at KineticPark.

The new Hampton Inn at 177 Kinetic Drive had a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration beginning at 3 p.m. July 18. The event included guided tours of the 100-room hotel.

The four-story hotel is located on the bottom level of KineticPark, adjacent to a Marriott Towneplace Suites hotel. Both the Hampton and the Marriott are co-owned by Don Howard and Jeff Yeary and managed by H&W Management Co. of Lexington, Ky. Hampton Inn is part of the Hilton chain.

Each of the hotel's rooms and suites offers a range of amenities, including an LCD television, free WiFi and an ergonomically designed work area. Microwaves and mini-refrigerators are also provided and guest laundry facilities are available. There's an indoor pool, a fitness center and a two-station business center. A free hot breakfast is offered each morning.

According to Manager Bobby Howard, the hotel will provide 35 jobs when it's fully staffed.

Owner and operator Jeff Goldy said his new dealership, Goldy Auto, will create 50 new jobs. Located adjacent to the Hampton Inn on KineticPark's lower level, the dealership will sell Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles. Goldy said Huntington has not had a Chrysler dealership for more than three years.

The new dealership is affiliated with Moses Auto Mall of Huntington, where Goldy is a vice president.

Goldy began selling cars from its lot in December while work began on constructing its building. The building, with a showroom, offices and repair shop is now complete and open for business.

KineticPark is a project of the Huntington Municipal Development Authority, which sold the sites for the new hotel and auto dealership. The two new businesses join a Bob Evans restaurant and the Marriott on the park's lower level.

The primary tenant on the park's upper level, which is reserved for technology-based businesses and professional offices, is an Amazon.com call center.
