The Randolph County Sheriff's Office has arrested an Upshur County man after a high-speed chase Wednesday.
The pursuit happened at about 2 p.m. after authorities received a call about a reckless driver traveling into Elkins, said Sheriff Mark Brady.
Jordan Woody, 19 of Buckhannon was driving a 2012 Mercedes Benz GLK 350, and reaching excessive speeds of up to 120 mph, Brady said.
The chase started on Harrison Avenue, went through several streets in Elkins, and out on the five lane. Woody did strike a pickup truck, but continued on, according to Brady.
Authorities did lose sight of the car until someone pointed out the direction Woody's car turned off on.
After blocking off exit points on Ward Road, sheriff's deputies and state police noticed a vehicle matching Woody's coming out a dirt road. Authorities blocked the vehicle and Woody was taken into custody.
Woody is charged with two counts of fleeing while DUI and two counts of fleeing with reckless disregard.
Woody is in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail awaiting arraignment.
