Last week we told you about some money that may be missing from the town of White Hall.
Mayor Guy Ward said the town has lost almost a million dollars in the past 10 years from the alcohol beverage tax ordinance passed in 2003.
After speaking with Wal-Mart, he said the town lost $70,000 a year in alcohol beverage taxes from that store alone.
He said this is an issue he will not let go.
"They want me to prove that these businesses are in the town of White Hall. I'm getting their physical address as well as their mailing address. Plus I may even have to get a map and put on the map where these businesses are located," said Mayor Ward.
Ward said it could have been an oversight on the state's part because White Hall addresses use Fairmont on their physical address.
