Health professionals are urging people to stay indoors if at all possible when it's hot out because spending too much time outdoors might land you in the hospital.
Experts say if you do have to be outside you should stay out of the sun as much as possible, take breaks when you can and stay hydrated.
John Backus, clinical director of the Emergency Department at UHC, said the ER has seen a few people for heat exhaustion this week.
"For heat exhaustion it would be excessive sweating feeling like your heart is racing, muscle cramps. And as it becomes more severe there may be some confusion as well," Backus said.
Backus said things like your age, length of time outdoors, and temperature are factors that can lead to heat exhaustion and other heat related medical problems.
