Veterans have spent the past four years building a memorial to honor those Marion County men and women who served in the Korean War.
The project recently came to a halt due to a lack of funding.
But Wednesday, the Marion County Commission helped get it moving again.
The commission gave $8,000 to Chapter 163 of the Korean War Veterans Association to pay for the rest of the concrete blocks needed to complete the memorial.
"This is for all veterans, Navy, Army, Marines. Whether they have been combat zone or not, they deserve to be on that wall because they have served their country. That's why I made it," said Loren Jackson, a Korean War Veteran.
