The Lewis County Park is one of only 22 parks still in the running for a $15,000 grant from Coca-Cola.
The park was up against almost 12,000 other parks across the country and the competition had a head start because the county didn't find out about the contest until a month after the voting started.
Commissioner Agnes Queen said she's glad to see the county come together for a common cause.
"When we had the opportunity to just try to vote and vote to achieve that goal, we did band together, and its exciting to know that out of 11,992 parks that were participating to win that money, we're sitting at 15th unofficially," Queen said.
Commissioner Queen said Coke will audit the votes and will announce the contest winners in early August.
