A law to expand West Virginia's Amber Alert program has now taken effect.
Skylar's Law is named for Star City teenager Skylar Neese, who was found murdered in Pennsylvania after going missing last July.
The bill requires law enforcement to contact State Police at the start of any missing person or abduction investigation.
The Amber Alert system will then decide whether to issue an alert.
