United Hospital Center in Harrison County has been named one of the top 25 hospitals in the country for having the most improved technology.
The 2013 Most Wired Survey announced UHC as a recipient earlier this week.
It is the first time the hospital has received the annual award.
"What it means is that we can get the patient orders faster from the physicians and get them back to the patient quicker thanks to technologies that we use," said Brian Cottrill, the VP Chief Information Officer.
UHC is the only hospital in the state to receive this year's "most improved" award.
Meanwhile, WVU Hospitals earned its third consecutive "Most Wired" designation.
