    The West Virginia Child Advocacy Network and West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence are getting help from Verizon's HopeLine program to help those affected by domestic violence and child abuse.

HUNTINGTON – Anheuser-Busch Brewing Co. has honored Eagle Distributing Co. with its "Ambassador of Excellence" award in recognition of its service to its retail customers.

The official presentation of the award is scheduled in July during a visit to the Tri-State by the brewer's famous Clydesdales horses. The world-famous six-horse hitch will be in Ironton, Ohio, on July 11, in Ashland, Ky., on July 12 and in Huntington on July 13.

Eagle was one of only six distributors in the company's nationwide network of more than 600 independent distributors to earn the "Ambassador" award, the company's highest honor for its distributors. The award program recognizes top-performing wholesalers for their commitment to excellence in all facets of their operation, including facilities and fleet management, sales, marketing and community outreach.

Eagle Distributing is part of Triple Crown Beverage Group, which includes Eagle Distributing in Huntington, Spriggs Distributing in Ironton and Eagle Distributing in Ashland. The three companies serve retail customers in 15 counties in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.

In April, the Marshall University College of Business named Guy Spriggs, the board chairman for Triple Crown Beverage, to its Business Hall of Fame, which honors individuals in the business community who have outstanding records of long-standing achievement in their career fields.
