Chief Deputy Ralph Wright was the first official from the Marion County Sheriff's Department to enter the FBI National Academy in Virginia.
Now he's the first to finish the training.
Chief Wright came back to Marion County with new skills in the field.
He attended classes on drug enforcement, psychological behavior, and dealing with the media.
"I think the main thing I took from the whole experience was just meeting the people. Meeting the different managerial people from different law enforcement agencies and seeing how they approach things," Chief Deputy Wright said.
Chief Wright said he recommends the program to other law enforcement agencies.
