The West Virginia Association of School Administrators has named Harrison County superintendent Susan Collins its "Superintendent of the Year."
Collins became superintendent five years ago, after serving as assistant superintendent for two years.
She said this award is a reflection of the people around her.
"So many good people that I am able to work with that make me look good, when it is really all the people around me, what they do, that makes a difference each and every day," Collins said.
Collins said she looks at each day as an opportunity to better serve the students and communities of Harrison County.
