School officials from around the state gathered at Stonewall Resort Wednesday.
Teams from more than 30 West Virginia schools met to discuss school safety.
The meeting is part of the Safe and Supportive Schools grant given to the state.
Teams from each school discussed issues at the two-day conference before meeting and planning this afternoon.
Organizers said they need to work with the entire community to keep up the good changes they've been seeing from the program.
"We have to bring all the resources together. We have to form partnerships out in the community, with mental health agencies, with law enforcement, the judicial system. It's the only way that we're going to make an impact," said Don Chapman of the Division of Education.
Teams from each participating school will take their plans back to school with them to be put into place throughout the year.
