A local college is working to improve high school and college graduation rates.
Glenville State College brought participants of its Hidden Promise Program to campus this week.
The program helps the students get used to a college environment.
Organizers said they hope to see more students earn a college degree.
"It gives them a chance to actually interact and realize what the importance of higher education is, and how valuable it is to be able to come to college at the same time and let them be part of such a wonderful organization," said GSC's Marlon Henry, who works with the program, and was a counselor at this week's camp.
Students in the other grades served by the program will participate in the same activities on other weeks during the summer.
