For the second year in a row the country's top off-road ATV and motocross drivers were back in Preston County for the GNCC Parts Unlimited Mountaineer Run at Marvin's Mountaintop in Masontown.
Marvin's Mountaintop was the former home to the All-Good Music Festival.
The 12-mile course and two-plus hours of racing tests each driver's skill and endurance.
Saturday's field of participants featured the ATV drivers. More than 500 of them entered the races.
Many expected the track to be full of mud after the region was pelted by heavy rain earlier in the week, but drivers said the course was nearly perfect.
"It was rough, lots of rocks and a few straightaways. It was a good combination," said Cody Collier after winning his first GNCC Amateur race. It was slick in some spots, especially on the rocks. But on the fields it was really dry and powdery."
Adam McGill won the featured pro race.
The GNCC ATV races were followed by the motocross races on Sunday afternoon.
