Runners woke up at the crack of dawn to participate in the 17th annual Greater Clarksburg 10k Race.
This year the race had a new spin to it.
Runners were separated into two groups: the Hatfield's and the McCoy's.
It's an historical reference which helped tally up the scoring for the race.
Organizers said the race has grown a lot over the past 17 years and more teens and women are getting involved.
"What's neat is now the kids who were in the Kids K are now running in the 10K," said Larry Mazza, organizer. "You see that evolution. They were kids and now they are adults and they are still participating."
The 10K was followed by a two mile race and a Kids K.
