Cafe Bacchus Holds Benefit in Support of 10-Month-Old Baby

On Thursday, we introduced you to 10-month-old Noah Wright, who contracted Group B Strep Meningitis at his premature birth and has since had three brain surgeries.

More than 100 people came out to Café Bacchus in Morgantown on Friday night in support of Noah and his family.

Local businesses donated items to be auctioned off, and patrons purchased 50/50 tickets for the cause.

Noah's family said the event will help significantly with his medical bills but want other expectant parents to learn from their experience.

"There's a lot of women and families that can go through the same thing we have. If you are having a premature baby, or if anything is happening, then you should be tested, so you don't have to go through what we have, so to get the awareness out there, I think it's great," said Steve Wright, Noah's father.

Organizers estimated that more than $20,000 dollars was raised at the event.
