The Monongalia County Development Authority held the last meeting of its program year Thursday.
The group discussed the county's recent jump past 100,000 residents.
Monongalia County has been the fastest growing county in the state for each of the last two years.
Another concern: The locks on the Monongahela River.
The Corps of Engineers has closed two of the locks.
The third is open for one shift a day.
The group also discussed a decline in commercial activity and budget cuts.
