Patty Looman was a Fairmont woman who touched many lives.
PattyFest 2013 was held on Saturday at East Fairmont High School.
This was the 12th year for the festival.
Looman was a teacher and a mentor to the people who started PattyFest, which is an old time music festival.
Looman loved old time music and even played the dulcimar.
PattyFest incorporates performances and teaching.
"Today we have stage performances, an open stage, we have open jams where you'll see people all over playing, and then we have classes that teach how to play each instrument," said Buck Owens, PattyFest. "We have very good teachers, and performers, and its just a fantastic family program."
Looman passed away in 2012 and PattyFest is held in her honor.
