The Monongalia Arts Center is celebrating it's 35th birthday this weekend.
It will host a number of events and it wants the public to attend.
Friday the festivities kick off at 7 p.m. with opening receptions of art exhibits.
"It's been a great 35 years. It's been a struggle because support for the arts and funding is not going in the right direction as we all know. But I think it's a testament to the region to support the center and the people that have worked here," said Ro Brooks, MAC director.
The highlight of the weekend will be a musical performance by Rachel Eddy on Saturday evening.
Organizers expect seats to fill up fast so make sure to purchase tickets early.
