The West Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church is in Buckhannon this week.
It's holding its 45th annual state conference at West Virginia Wesleyan.
Participants will approve a new budget and vote on proposed constitutional amendments for the United Methodist Church.
The conference kicked off Thursday with a ministry fair.
Various organizations set up displays to show and discuss their programs.
"People here especially United Methodist congregation can hear about all the good stories about us and that's what they can support, constantly support us so we can take care of our soldiers," said Simon Chang, U.S. Army chaplain.
The West Virginia Conference serves United Methodist Churches in 52 counties in W.Va. and Garrett County, Maryland.
The conference will run through Sunday.
