The Bridgeport Farmers Market hosted a "Local Foods Picnic" on Wednesday in the Bridgeport Conference Center.
It was supposed to be outside on the lawn, but the treat of rain forced it inside.
Dishes included homemade pulled pork, buttermilk biscuits, and mason jar cheesecake, all made from food sold fresh at the farmers market.
The picnic was part of the community dinner series, and all the proceeds go to the market.
"We used to do one fundraiser a year in the past years, and this year we decided to go the dinner route and its really worked out well. We get anywhere from 75 to 150 for each one of these dinners, so far tonight its taken off pretty well so we're happy," said Scott Duarte, with the Bridgeport Conference Center.
The next community dinner will be held in October.
