The Marion County Future Farmers of America held a horse show Sunday.
It plans to hold a show each month throughout the summer until September. Shows are the first weekend of the month, depending on the weather, at the Mannington Fair Grounds.
It's a family event that raises money for the FFA by charging an entrance fee, selling raffle tickets and food in the concession stand.
"There's not too much farming going on anymore and we're just trying to bring it back for the kids. It's a great program it was good for us when we were younger," said Lisa Moore, the Vice President of the FFA Alumni of Marion County. "Dr. Watson was the teacher when we were in school, he's still there. They have a great veterinary program up there for the kids, it's really big."
The FFA Alumni said that anyone from Marion County can join the FFA at the Marion County Technical Center.
