Former Upshur County Administrator Willie Parker has a new job.
Parker is the new county administrator for the Harrison County Commission.
Parker resigned for personal reasons after more than 20 years with Upshur County.
Harrison County Commission President Ron Watson said the commission has run the county's day to day operations in the past.
Watson said Parker will review Harrison County's practices, policies and procedures.
He said the commission received about dozen resumes and that Parker is more than qualified for the job.
"Kinda tough to compete against somebody who had 21 years of county administrator responsibility and is known though out the state as go to person with other county administrators," Watson said.
Parker's starting salary will be $75,000 and he'll start on Monday.
