The story of the abduction and murder of Skylar Neese has captivated audiences across the state, and now the national media are taking notice as well.
A crew from CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 was in Morgantown on Wednesday to learn more about the case and to speak with Neese's parents.
On Thursday, the show featured experts to analyze the behavior of Skylar's "best friends" and alleged killers: Rachel Shoaf and an unnamed juvenile.
"There's probably a leader and a follower, there's been some kind of humiliation or perceived put down, but something more than, 'We just didn't want to be friends with her anymore.' No, I don't buy that at all," said Mary Ellen O'Toole, a former FBI profiler
O'Toole also said the killers' manipulative and callous behavior after Neese's death suggests a lack of empathy and guilt for their actions.
