Senator Joe Manchin made a stop in Clarksburg on Wednesday.
The senator and members of the West Virginia House of Delegates toured the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility.
The facility is a subassembly plant for the C-130J Super Hercules used by the U.S. Military.
Senator Manchin toured the facility and met the employees. He said the facility is something Clarksburg should be proud of.
"The C-130, the West Virginia National Guard, we have them. When I travel around the world, usually I'm transported on a C-130. It's just an unbelievable aircraft, and to see the critical components being made in Clarksburg, West Virginia makes you even more proud," Manchin said.
During his visit, Senator Manchin also made a stop at the post office on Emily Drive. He said his team is doing everything it can to save the postal service.
