A Lewis County landmark that remembers veterans every day made sure to recognize them on Memorial Day as well.
The Mountaineer Military Museum in Weston opened to the public Monday.
It was one of the first chances for people to get a look at its new displays.
Vets and their families gave much of the material in the museum.
They said they want to see the museum continue its work.
"They're doing such a wonderful job. The preservation of all of these artifacts from people, it's amazing," said Linda J.C. Turner, the daughter of a veteran.
Owners Ron and Barb McVaney said about one-fifth of the new displays are finished now and more will open soon.
