Webster County held its 49th annual Woodchopping Festival in Webster Springs on Saturday.
The day started off with Jack and Jill sawing on Bakers Island. People from all over the United States came to participate in the chopping.
Floats honoring Veterans participated in the annual Paul Bunyan Grand Parade.
Arden Cogar said timber sports is offered as a sport in 23 different countries in the world and there are representatives from four countries participating Memorial Day weekend in Webster County.
"This is our 49th year hosting this world championship event. There are six world titles up for grabs from timber sports athletes from around the world," said Cogar.
