Rowlesburg residents gathered to see the opening of the Carolann Hooton Research Library opening Friday.
The library contains everything from rare Egyptian books to old newspaper articles about the town.
People who are interested in coming to the library can even bring an old book they've read a few times and exchange it for a new one.
"There's a whole world in books that people don't get access to without al library. Books are expensive, people don't have money for things like that. I thought that the children and people of Rowlesburg needed that resource. That there was a void here," said Carolann Hooton.
The library is always looking for volunteers and taking donations.
