The annual National Veterans Awareness Riders made a stop in Clarksburg Thursday on its way to Washington, D.C.
Riders stopped at the Veterans Medical Center in the afternoon. One biker donated a handmade quilt for the others to sign and give to a patient at the medical center.
They said they enjoy the ride and visiting with veterans along the way.
"Each May, riders start out in Sacramento, California. We ride across the United States each day visiting veterans homes, veterans hospitals and participating in memorial services," said Jerry Conner of the National Veterans Awareness Association.
The bikers will be in Washington on Friday where they will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown.
