The Gabriel Project in Mannington was started to help pregnant women and mothers with children under the age of 2.
It provides practical and emotional support to mothers.
The non-profit organization runs solely on volunteers and donations, and provides mothers with food, clothes, car seats, cribs, and more.
"We felt it was needed. The pregnancy in young teens is high in West Virginia. We want our people here to have the same advantages as other areas in the state. This way they will have some benefits to help them," said Carol Taylor, project manager.
The Gabriel Project is located next to Mannington City Hall, and is open every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
