A local cancer survivor held a benefit for a local hospital Saturday night.
St. John's Parish in Morgantown hosted the second annual Just Desserts benefit.
Erin Polak organized the first event to benefit the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center after her aunt Erin Dunmire was diagnosed with brain cancer.
They said they're extremely glad for the support their event has received.
"It kind of makes you speechless. You don't really know how many people care until you see them all in one room. It warms your heart," said Polak.
"It's very humbling. This has been a very humbling journey for us," said Dunmire.
Last year's event raised over $8,000. Polak and Dunmire hope to break $10,000 this year.
