West Virginia has a wonderful history and we can embrace it in so many ways.
In Elkins, rather than tear down the old First Ward Elementary School, a number of groups have come together to rehab the property.
The 106-year-old building will soon be state-of-the-art apartments for senior citizens, but it will also serve as a vital link to the city's past.
To everyone involved with this project we say "well done." You have made the city a better place.
