Longtime West Virginia sports writer Mickey Furfari was in Clarksburg on Sunday afternoon for a book-signing event before the 67th annual West Virginia Sports Writers Association Victory Awards Dinner.
Mickey was autographing and selling his first book "Mickey's Mountaineer Memories," and his second, "Mickey's Mountaineer Memories Volume II."
Mickey said he had a long and happy career, where he met and reported on lots of exciting people and events.
He said one of his most memorable experiences is described in his book.
"In the book, it tells the dumbest thing I ever did in my whole life. And it was my own fault," Furfari said.
Furfari started covering the Mountaineers in the 1940s.
