The Ronald McDonald House held its fourth annual Red Shoe Run on Saturday.
The event has a 5k run for adults and a kids run for children. This 5k helps raise money for the Ronald McDonald House and is different than most of its fundraisers.
"A lot of our fundraising activities lean more towards formal dinners and things like that," said Steve DeJesus. "We wanted to do something that was more geared towards families and children and to kind of get out and do outdoor activities. So we kind of push this one more. It gets a lot of our families to come out and enjoy the day."
Runners paid a $20 fee to participate in the race.
