A West Virginia University alumnus put his knowledge to the test in front of the entire country on Wednesday night.
Dan Moyers, a 2002 engineering graduate, is competing on "The Big Brain Theory: Pure Genius," a reality show designed to challenge the problem-solving abilities of contestants with different educational backgrounds.
Moyers, who is originally from Bruceton Mills and now works as a spacecraft engineer in Los Angeles, said his experiences at WVU impressed the show's selection committee.
The show premiered on Wednesday, and Moyers made the cut.
The winner of the competition will earn $50,000 and a one-year contract to work at WET, the industry leader behind some of the world's most innovative water-based designed environments and experiences including the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas, according to the show's website.
