Stonewall Resort hosted a tobacco cessation class on Wednesday.
Stonewall gave its employees the chance to take the class and still receive their hourly wages.
The Wellness Council of West Virginia explained the benefits of quitting, how to hold off cravings when you do quit, and the triggers of tobacco use.
Linda Holmstrand offered her best advice for quitting tobacco use.
"You should plan ahead, don't take it lightly, think about when is a good time to quit, think about all the things you need to do before you actually quit, who you'll get support from, will you need pharmaceuticals," Holmstrand said.
The class was funded by a grant, and the public was welcome to attend, along with Stonewall employees
