Tuesday was the final day for the Mountaineer Boy's and Girl's Club at their Spruce Street home.
Wednesday's United Way Day of Caring was crucial in helping the club move to their new home in the former Woodburn Elementary School.
Teams of more than a dozen worked at both locations assisting in the move. The club said the timing was planned knowing it would enable them to stay open through the transition.
"We knew we'd get 25 volunteers, and it certainly makes it a lot easier when you have that many people because you can do it in one day. We didn't want to shut down our operation. We were open yesterday in this location and will be open today in our Woodburn site," Denis Poluga, of the Boy's and Girl's Club.
Wednesday was the 22nd annual United Way Day of Caring.
