West Virginians For Life, Mon County Chapter Hold Pro-Life March

It is common to see Pro-Life organizations rally to stop abortion and the Monongalia County Chapter of West Virginians for Life held a walk Saturday to do just that.

The group held its annual Walk-For-Life event that aims to bring awareness to its constant fight to stop abortion.

"This is a 12 week inception model of an unborn child," said Mary Anne Buchanan, the Mon County Chapter President. "And at this stage everything is there the toes the fingers all that's left is for the unborn child to grow. One of the safest places that should be in the womb for baby to be is now not safe."

The West Virginians For Life walked a 3.4 mile loop starting at St. Mary's Church on University Avenue.
