Usually, the Lakeview Resort in Cheat Lake is home to plenty of golfers hitting the links, but on Friday night, it was the site of a "Girls Night Out."
Ladies of all ages came out to the annual event for a night of pampering, cocktails, and dancing to benefit the Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center (MCCAC).
Patrons could have their hair and nails done, get a massage, or bid on dozens of items up for auction.
Many of those who came out for the event said they'll definitely be back next year to help children in the community who are in need.
"You know, the problems that they face, they need to have someone give them a helping hand, so I think this is a great way to support them by raising money," said patron Karen Wang. "Not only that, you get to have fun by getting pampered."
The Child Advocacy Center said last year's Girls Night Out raised more than $20,000. It is hoping to top that total this year.
