Powderpuff Football Tournament Held to Benefit Betty Puskar Breast Care Center
The 3rd Annual "Fight Like a Girl" powderpuff football tournament was held on Sunday.
Girls from Lincoln, Liberty, Bridgeport, Lewis, and Notre Dame high schools played football, and the boys from the schools got the chance to be the cheerleaders.
All of the proceeds from the event benefit the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center in Morgantown.
The chairperson of the tournament explained why the money goes toward the Betty Puskar Center.
"Betty Puskar is just really great with helping people out. She has this thing called, "Bonnie's Bus" and it goes all throughout the state of West Virginia and picks people up who can't afford mammograms or don't have a way to get to Betty Puskar. So it's just a really great cause," said Haley Whiteman, of Liberty High School.
Whiteman said she was pleased with the amount of people that came and showed their support.
