Men willing to take a few steps in someone else's shoes were called to Ruby McQuain Park in Morgantown on Sunday.
The Rape and Domestic Violence Information Center hosted its 4th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event. The event is to bring awareness to the 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men that will experience a form of domestic violence.
They had raffles and giveaways to raise money for the center.
"Those funds are going to go right back into our community. Whether it be education in our school systems, other community education opportunities, or our shelter that we provide for Mon, Preston and Taylor Counties." said Eliska Hahn, prevention educator at RDVIC.
The Center said they are hoping to do more education in local schools.
