The city of Shinnston is working on a new city building.
It already has a location ready to go for its $6 million project.
It said the new building will provide space for city administrators and room for the community to hosts events throughout the year.
"The building is really going to be a hub for the community. It will provide a permanent home for us. It will provide new offices for administration. But the main thing this building will provide is a gathering space," said Emma Clarke, acting city manager.
The project is expected to take about a year and a half to complete.
The city hopes to have the building finished in early 2016.
