The Monongalia and Preston County Literacy Volunteers held their annual 'Readin', Writin' and Wrestlin' event Sunday.
It is the biggest fundraiser for the Literacy Volunteers in Preston County.
Guests could watch some wrestlers for a small cover charge.
All proceeds go toward programs the volunteers provide.
"In Preston county the programs that currently run are one on one individual tutoring for adult learners and group courses involved with adult literacy," said Erin Clemens, the Executive Director of the Monongalia and Preston County Literacy Volunteers. "That includes, English conversation table, digital literacy classes, introduction to basic typing and keyboarding, accent reduction for ESL learners and a variety of other services."
The Literacy Volunteers will be in Preston County on April 23rd to give away more than 200 free books.
They are always accepting volunteers and have a waiting list for people who want help with literacy issues.
