Volunteers with Hands and Hearts for Christ, a church group in Buckhannon, will leave Saturday on a surgical mission trip to Belize.
About 20 volunteers will work with local hospital officials in Orange Walk in the northern part of the Central American country.
Friday, they loaded 19 boxes and 20 duffle bags filled with donated medical supplies onto a trailer.
They said the people in Belize are counting on them.
"They do have some doctors and stuff, but people can't afford to go because they don't have the income to be able to go and get the services they need. So when we go, we work from Saturday through Friday from daylight to dark," said Dave Long, of Hearts and Hands of Christ.
This will be the 15th year a group has traveled on a surgical mission to Belize.
This group will return next Sunday.
