There are several ways that Affordable Housing is making a difference in the Fairmont community.
The Fairmont Community Development Partnership celebrated those reasons with a ribbon cutting and open house at its newest unit Thursday.
FCDP said affordable housing benefits those with low or moderate income and helps shape up the community.
Fairmont residents said the work FCDP is doing is helping to bring the community back to life.
"It is unbelievable. I mean this is one of the prettiest neighborhoods you'll find anywhere in Fairmont. I think all the credit goes to Bob Gribben and Lisa who works in the office," said Asa Davison, Fairmont resident.
FCDP will begin working on additional dilapidated buildings in Fairmont's Maple Ogden area in the upcoming months.
