Terry "Boots" Morton, the second suspect in a murder earlier this year, has been arrested, after a high-speed car chase with police in Michigan.
Morton was named a suspect shortly after the murder of Chris Carter in Carter's apartment in Barboursville on January 2nd.
According to court documents, the shooting may have been over drugs that were stolen from Morton.
State Police tell us that at around 7pm Saturday, police arrived at a home in Redford, MI to arrest Morton. - That's when Morton and a woman, Nykea James, took off in a Saturn Vue driven by Ms. James.
Speeds reached up to 90 miles per hour, according to police.
Police say a Redford police officer managed to cut off the car, forcing a crash, and after a brief foot pursuit, Morton was arrested.
The other suspect in Carter's murder, Tyerus "Tank" Hayes, was arrested in Georgia on March 1st, and extradited to Huntington to face charges.
State Police tell us they are waiting for Morton to be extradited to Huntington next week.
Investigators with the FBI were also involved in the chase and Morton's arrest.
